¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So...I'm sitting here, middle of the week, telling myself I really need to go for a motorcycle ride - even if it's a short one. I've not been out for a bit...
In addition, I'm staring at the GoPro camera on my desk that's recorded all of the stuff I've collected over the past couple of years. Now, the last day of riding my 48 state ride, I didn't get any pictures with the GoPro. I figured out why today. 👍
What you didn't see at the end of the next-to-last day in that video is the three plus hours that the camera ran...while still on the bike - and parked! 😲 Yeah, I was lazy...but the ride was nearly over. All I could think about was getting a warm shower, then getting into bed once I got into the room.
I spent a few minutes charging the camera earlier, then went "Hmpf! Time to ride!". Packed up a small lunch, popped the GoPro onto the bike & hit the road.
Now, the camera itself on the HERO Session is good; the built-in microphone? Terrible if you're using it in an environment that the air is hitting the camera dead-on. I've tried a couple of fixes that I've seen on YouTube to no avail.
Here's a short video from the ride today...
So, I don't have a charging problem...the camera charged fine as I rode. The GoPro itself is okay, as the camera has to have *some* charge on it in order for it to (a) turn on and (b) respond to commands - like "record".
D'oh!

Delete"That was sure a "long" mile on your GS Goldwing dirt bike! As I watched my heart rate went up and my hand was clutching my wine glass with a death grip. So much for MY dirt bike skills! Which GoPro do you have? I was impressed with the image stabilization. "
My reply:
"It sure seemed longer, but it measured out (via Google Maps) at 1.1 miles.
Camera is the GoPro Hero Session; same one that I've used for my stop-action videos."
Odd - different browser (not Chrome) now sees me logged into my own blog.
