Mt. Rushmore and Yellowstone – June, 2010

June 11 – 22, 2010

This was a trip that had already been planned.  Due to a totally unexpected death in the family earlier in the year, this trip was truncated by a few days.
The goals of the trip – more sightseeing.  Mt. Rushmore and the area around it.  They have a huge motorcycle rally in early August in a little town called Sturgis - you may have heard of it.  Well, we’ve learned already that we’re really not into *big* crowds, but it would be nice to see just what the area has in store.
Additionally, if you’re already that far north, there’s an even bigger place to check out – Yellowstone National Park – the one that started it all in 1872.

This is but a small sample of the images taken.
