Another year, another trek to Nye County, Nevada.
There had been some weather forecasts that had called for some rain and perhaps snow on Friday. Fortunately for us, we didn’t need to spend the day in the casino wasting time and spending money. It was cold…but a couple of these scenes were remarkable.
Did I mention it was cold??
The next day, we’d decided that “The Road” may or may not be passable, so we would exit the park to the west, then we’d evaluate how we’d return to Beatty. A brief stop in Panamint Springs.
It was a good thing we’d chosen this routing for the day. I knew it snowed in the high desert; I’d never seen it like this. The temperatures were only slightly above freezing, and we were leery of any type of icing that may be on the road. Thus, this was taken at a much slower pace than normal.
At our normal lunch stop in Bishop, California, we actually ran across a driver that had taken “The Road” and it was passable! We’ll ride it in the opposite direction!
Another great weekend of riding!
