With over 150,000 motorcycle miles in 12 years, it was recently time to purchase some tune-up parts for the current bike. As I took stock in that overall mileage (for many, that's really not a lot...), I spent some time and reviewed some of the more significant rides my wife and I have enjoyed together - and me alone - over this decade plus.
Now, most of the major rides have been blogged already. There were just as few that popped up that could be blogged about. If it was only in the simplistic manner I started out with blogging as little more than a placeholder for images taken, that's okay. The rides highlighted in green were Iron Butt Association certified rides.
If I brought my camera, and took a few photos, then I can recall (reasonably well) the general route and distance traveled. So I built this spreadsheet that lists the rides and miles both 1-up and 2-up since we got back into motorcycling way back when. For some rides, I have good numbers, but for most, they're estimates of the miles ridden.
I've went back to fill in these missing rides in the blog. Search in the index by date to see them, if you'd like.
The rest of the mileage that adds up to this 150,000 number? Boring rides...work, generic day-rides around the region, a few weekend get-away trips that didn't warrant photos, I guess. I suppose I'm lucky enough to have logged the 'fun' or memorable miles, huh?
Next ride? I don't exactly know just yet.
